Ran Kan Kan, Oxford’s 20 piece Cuban big band, were born in 2011

from a meeting of local brass and latin percussion fanatics. They

have laboured with love and respect to bring you classic songs from

the golden age of Cuban Big Bands. Led by singers, Pancho Vera

and Melisa Akdogan, and a dazzling array of horns, flutes, guitars,

piano and percussion, this passionate music will win your heart and

move your feet.

Ran Kan Kan regularly sell out venues such as Oxford’s Old Fire

Station, and have performed at Cornbury, Wychwood and

Wilderness festivals.

The band choose to donate part of their gig income to support the

Music Fund for Cuba.
